Today I lost a friend and mentor due to my inability to communicate properly and respectfully.

It didn’t have to be this way, but the universe has sent me a message.

Stay in my own damn lane, STFU, and do not offer up comments or feelings unless invited to do so.

I have lived my life with few regrets, but this one is in the top two of the list.

My silence, while painful, is all anyone will get in person going forward, unless they request something other than that.

Lesson learned, painfully, but learned.
